A Memorable Day at the President’s Lunch

The annual President’s Lunch, held on Saturday 28th June 2025, was a resounding success, bringing together the heart and soul of our club community. Hosted in true club spirit, the afternoon celebrated not only football, but the people who help our club thrive.

Event wrap up

We were honoured to welcome a distinguished guest list, including our life members, committee, generous sponsors, and representatives from local, state, and federal government. Their presence was a testament to the deep support and connection our club continues to build across all levels of the community.

Club President, Enrico Marrone, delivered a warm and thoughtful address, welcoming guests and reflecting on the remarkable growth the club has experienced this year. In his speech, he subtly spotlighted the club’s top infrastructure goal – the development of a synthetic pitch – noting that achieving this vision will require close collaboration with Whitehorse Council.

As guests settled in, they were treated to a spectacular four-course meal. The culinary experience began with an impressive seafood platter, setting the tone for the courses to follow. Each dish that graced the tables was nothing short of magnificent, thanks to the passion and dedication of our volunteer kitchen team. Leading the charge was Chef Steve, ably supported by Sous Chef Ivan and Assistant, Kathy. A special mention must go to our junior assistants – Victoria, Efsta, and Archer – who brought enthusiasm and energy to the kitchen.

The day was topped off with thrilling on-field performances. The Senior Reserves claimed a 4–2 victory, setting the stage for an exciting main event. The Seniors First team did not disappoint, finishing the day with a commanding 5–2 win; the perfect finale to an already outstanding day.

The 2025 President’s Lunch was more than just an event – it was a celebration of community, progress, and the shared passion that unites everyone involved in our club.
