About the event
In September 2024, we sadly lost a beloved mother and cherished member of our club, Janine Sexton.
Janine was an integral part of our community for many years, dedicating countless training nights and match days as Team Manager, alongside her husband John, who served as Coach. Together, they supported four of their five children—Matilda, Charlie, Henry, and George—through our junior program. Their youngest, Mary, has found her passion in other pursuits.
Today, Charlie and George continue Janine’s legacy as players in our Senior Squad, while Henry contributes as our Ground Marker, keeping the family’s connection to the club strong.
During her courageous battle with cancer, Janine found comfort and strength through the Thursday Girls support group, connecting with other women facing similar challenges.
